You might wonder what happened during all these trips around the world. Geneva, New-York, Tokyo, Hong-Kong, Seoul, Shanghai, Moscow, Paris ... Let's rewind ...
For every end, there is a beginning: let's travel, you are invited.
8th October 2008,
Geneva 1: "The trip begins"
Excited and Nervous:
That was my first trip abroad since a while. I was rightly nervous and excited. Nervous because I knew that it was the first trip before many more and I didn't feel enough prepared. Excited because it was the beginning of an adventure. I was about to go where I never went before: Geneva, New-York, Tokyo, Hong-Kong, Moscow ...
Antecedent:
You see, I am used to travelling since I was young. After all, I used to live in many countries, even some which don't exist anymore like "East-Germany". I am used to cold, hot, very hot: like Iraq, Algeria, Niger, ... You probably noticed that because the first category of the layout is ... well "Sahara".
Surprise:
I'm no beginner with airport hectics, but with all the controls nowadays, it can be a hassle. The morning of the trip for Geneva, it was a very early morning flight. I thought, or the best words to describe it: I didn't think. Result: I arrive 1h30' before departure at the airport. Bad idea, the airport was already full of people. Seems like there were other early birds too. They were not all to go to Geneva, but they sure added to the queues ...
The trip:
It was a smaller plane than the big trans-atlantic ones. There were not as many people in the plane as expected. Nice, even though you are not taking more seats than one, it feels more comfortable when there are less people in the plane. Easier to put your luggage, less overwhelmed, more calm, more ... holiday like atmosphere rather than the "hussling to the subway" kind of feeling of a morning work ... ah you see what I mean.
Look out of the window:
It looks like the start of a beautiful journey, the day is bright, and the sun shines. The trip begins ...
aquí está un poco de foto de mi viaje ...
